Today, USC Rossier School of Education announced that it will begin accepting applications for the seventh cohort of its Education Technology (EdTech) Accelerator Program on September 1. The Accelerator is aimed at tech-enabled education solutions with high potential to improve the quality and equity of education, from early childhood through adult learning.
The Accelerator consists of a 6-month program that nurtures and accelerates the growth of EdTech startups through a combination of operational/technical assistance, mentoring and interaction with key marketplace participants, including educators, investors, education companies and key service providers.
“The program is designed to help entrepreneurs navigate the challenges of the education ecosystem, improve the efficacy of their products or solutions, refine a go-to-market strategy and establish key relationships, so that companies can accelerate growth and increase impact.” said Mark DeGennaro, Managing Director of USC Edtech Accelerator Program.
The USC EdTech Accelerator is fully virtual and does not charge tuition or take equity in the companies that participate in the program, making it accessible to all entrepreneurs irrespective of the ability to pay. Entrepreneurs in the program benefit from interaction with USC faculty and the University’s network of industry participants, advisors and mentors. Companies in the program have received numerous awards and accolades and touched millions of learners.
“USC Rossier’s EdTech Accelerator Program has helped hundreds of aspiring EdTech professionals get the training, mentorship and access they need to build solutions that improve educational access and outcomes for learners all over the world,” said USC Rossier Dean Pedro Noguera. “We are excited to support the USC EdTech Accelerator at Rossier.”
