Developing Leaders as Effective Change Agents for Highly-Diverse School Districts
Did you know the nation’s big-city school districts educate about one third of all students of color in the nation, and the percentage of English language learners students educated in urban schools is twice that of other schools nationwide? These same schools also educate about one-third of all poor students and serve a far higher percentage of students eligible for free or reduced-price lunches than nationwide.
Now, more than ever, our country’s urban schools need leaders that can address challenges and create the right conditions to increase student achievement.
The USC Rossier School of Education, in partnership with AASA—The School Superintendents Association, is offering a blended Superintendents Academy—delivered online and in person.
This program will provide our participants with a safe place to learn from experienced and practicing professionals as well as study cutting-edge research-informed data from research experts.
