Bio

Daniel Espinoza (he/him) is a second-year PhD student pursuing a Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in K-12 Education Policy under the mentorship of Dr. Huriya Jabbar. Daniel is interested in exploring equitable school funding policies and strategies to promote democratic decision-making in school finance. 

Prior to USC, he worked as a Research and Policy Advisor at the Learning Policy Institute where he studied K-12 accountability, the educator workforce, equitable education for students experiencing homelessness and students in foster care, and community schools. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame in International Economics and Political Science.
