Bio
Dr. Heather Davis completed her Ed.D. in Educational Psychology here at USC Rossier. She is the Director of Student Assessment at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA where she is responsible for an accessible, equitable, and valide program of assessment for undergraduate medical students. Prior to joining the Dean's Office, she spent 20 years at UCLA's Center for Prehospital Care as both the Associate Director and Program Director for the UCLA Paramedic Education Program, one of the top performing paramedic programs in the country. Here she developed a Hybrid Paramedic Program, the first in California to be approved and accredited. Her previous position was the Education Director for LA County Fire where she managed both primary and non-formal education programs for over 3000 EMT's and Paramedics. She spent 15 years as a board member of the national licensing agency for prehospital personnel, including Board Chair, where she still serves as the IDEA Task Force Chair. Her interests and areas of study include the learning, motivation and cultural issues involved in psychomotor skill acquisition, retention, and transfer, particularly in medical professions. Dr. Davis is a published author and national speaker.
