Bio

Isabel Clay is a Ph.D. student with a concentration in K-12 Education Policy. She is a former educator with bachelor degrees in English Education and Economics from Swarthmore College and a masters degree in Urban Education from Loyola Marymount University. Most recently, Isabel taught English Language Development at a Los Angeles high school. Her experience in the classroom informs her research interests. Broadly, Isabel is interested in the relationship between policy, standards, curriculum, and educational outcomes for English Learners and immigrant students.
