LOS ANGELES, CA—Today, USC’s Rossier School of Education announced that it will be accepting applications from September 1st through September 30th for the 9th cohort of its EdTech Accelerator.
The Accelerator is a six-month virtual program aimed at tech-enabled education solutions with high potential to improve the quality and equity of education, from early childhood through adult learning. The program, which recently was named one of America’s best accelerators by Time, is designed to help entrepreneurs navigate the challenges of the education ecosystem, improve the efficacy of their products, accelerate growth and increase impact through a combination of operational and technical assistance and access to participants in the education ecosystem—including educators, investors, foundations, education companies and key service providers. Entrepreneurs in the program also benefit from interaction with USC faculty and the university’s network of industry participants, advisors and mentors. No prior relationship with USC is required.
“It’s an exciting time to be working with EdTech entrepreneurs given the rapid advances in technologies — and the on-going dialogue around how and when technology should be used in teaching and learning and how we measure what skills are actually learned,” said Mark DeGennaro, managing director of USC Edtech Accelerator Program. “We’re looking forward to working with the next cohort of founders to address educational challenges, increase access to educational opportunities and improve learning outcomes.”

The USC EdTech Accelerator is fully virtual and does not charge tuition or take equity in the companies that participate in the program, making it accessible to all entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs in the program are located all over the world and are developing solutions in all education markets, K–12, higher ed and workforce.
