Christopher Riddick

Christopher Riddick, EdD, is a proud son of Gates County, North Carolina, who now calls Atlanta home. He has more than sixteen years of experience in organizational development, change management, and people and culture advisory. His work spans federal consulting, financial services, and global professional services, with Booz Allen Hamilton, LMI, Fannie Mae, Deloitte, and Accenture. He is also the founder of North Star Compass, his own consultancy.

Dr. Riddick earned his Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Analysis and Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also holds a Master of Science in Education from Indiana University. In 2017 he completed his Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership at the University of Southern California, where his dissertation examined barriers to racial and ethnic staff diversity in nonprofit organizations. His certifications include a Change Management Advanced Practitioner Certification from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certification from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business, and a Certificate in Education Policy Research from Duke University. He still teaches at USC as an adjunct associate professor in the Rossier School of Education, leading doctoral courses on organizational change and DEI.

A devoted Tar Heel, Dr. Riddick has served on the UNC Chapel Hill Board of Visitors, the UNC School of Education Board of Visitors, the UNC School of Government Foundation Advisory Board, and the university’s Alumni Committee on Racial and Ethnic Diversity. In 2022, Carolina recognized his commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion with the alumni Carolina Diversity Award. Most importantly, he is a devoted husband and father of three. He loves music, bacon, and bourbon, and enjoys time with friends, especially when any or all three are present.
