State Authorization
Prior to applying or enrolling in classes, USC Rossier students in the United States and US Territories need to confirm that their academic program is currently authorized to operate, exempt, or not subject to approval in their current/local state or territory for online delivery. Students must also remain in an authorized state throughout the duration of their program.
Please see below for a list of states and their current status. The USC Rossier School of Education is continually updating this list and filing for additional programs that require program level authorization and will continue to monitor developments in state laws and, if authorization or licensure is or becomes necessary, will apply to obtain such additional approvals. This information is provided in good faith and with the knowledge that state regulations and requirements change frequently and without notice.
Please note that prior to applying for licensure programs, applicants need to confirm the program meets their state’s licensure requirements. More information on this can be found at the USC Licensures and Certifications page.
