Bio

Andrea Macias is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow, USC Provost Fellow, and Ph.D. student in Urban Education Policy with a concentration in Educational Psychology. 

As a McNair Research Scholar, Andrea earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She has dedicated her career to mentoring others. Before joining the Rossier PhD program, she served as a research assistant in several developmental and social psychology labs at UCLA and as a mentor for students in K-12 and higher education.

Her research interests encompass generative AI, social connection, and self-efficacy.
