The Master of Education in Educational Counseling (EC)
USC Rossier’s Master of Education in Educational Counseling (EC) program is pleased to offer paid graduate assistantships. With an assistantship, you will receive hands-on experiences in higher-education settings that prepare you to meet your career objectives in the educational counseling field.
As an EC student, you can participate in a graduate assistantship on the USC campus and/or at a number of colleges and universities within the Los Angeles area. With the full support and guidance of our team, you will have the freedom to select and apply for an opportunity tailored to your professional goals.
You will have the chance to apply for assistantships throughout your time in the program. However, it’s recommended that you first interview for opportunities at the annual USC Rossier Preview Day for incoming EC students. Assistantships include (but are not limited to):
- Academic advising
- Community college opportunities
- Multicultural resource centers
- Resource centers
- Student-athlete academic advising
- Disability services and programs
- Student judicial affairs and community standards
- Enrollment services
- Orientation events
- Residential education
Graduate assistantship positions are typically compensated by an hourly wage while some may offer tuition remission, or, in the case of residential education, room and board.
