Daniel Silver is a PhD candidate in K-12 Education Policy working with Dr. Morgan Polikoff. Daniel is interested in curricular alignment to educational and other standards, particularly for supplemental curriculum (e.g., lessons available for download). He is also interested in how teachers make adoption decisions when it comes to supplemental curriculum.
Born and raised just minutes from USC in Pasadena, CA, Daniel earned his BA from Williams College, double majoring in Psychology and Chinese. He then completed a teaching certification and Master’s program through the Charles Sposato Graduate School of Education in Boston, MA. His five years working with kindergarteners and third graders in Boston have informed his desire to produce research that is useful and impactful to practitioners outside the academy.
