Cynthia Diana Villarreal

Cynthia D. Villarreal is a doctoral student in Urban Education Policy at the University of Southern California’s (USC) Rossier School of Education and a research assistant at the Pullias Center for Higher Education. Her research aims bridge organizational theories and critical perspectives to study organizational culture and institutional processes that contribute to racial inequities, particularly at Hispanic-serving institutions. Currently, she is conducting research using social network analysis in addition to qualitative methods. Prior to her doctoral studies, Cynthia was a 6th grade English Language Arts teacher in San Antonio Independent School District and received a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
