Motivation in underrepresented students
College access for immigrant and undocumented youth
Anamely Salgado is a Ph.D. student at the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education. She is working with Dr. Stephen Aguilar, concentrating in educational psychology. Her research interests include underrepresented students' motivation and self-regulated learning strategies and their impact on academic achievement. She also seeks to examine college access and completion among immigrant and undocumented youth.
Anamely graduated from Rice University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Before joining the Rossier School of Education, she worked as a tutor for IDEA Public Schools. She assisted college counselors with college application revisions and submissions and tutored students in the areas of ACT and TSI testing.
