Dornsife Dialogues: The Afro-Latinx Experience

The dual marginalization of the Afro-Latinx community, economic inequality, and the unequal distribution of resources have shaped the experiences of many. Join us for a discussion of the Afro-Latinx experience, the rise of Black-Brown community organizing, and the implications for social justice in the current climate. Hear from leading experts about how communities are coming together to address common challenges and overcome systemic racism.

Pedro Noguera, dean of the USC Rossier School of Education, will join Manuel Pastor, distinguished professor of sociology and American studies and ethnicity and director of the Equity Research Institute at USC Dornsife, for a discussion moderated by Yasmin Davidds ’95, organizational psychologist and the founder and CEO of both the Multicultural Women’s Executive Leadership Foundation and the Dr. Yasmin Davidds Leadership Institute.
