Graphic Identity

The University of Southern California has established graphic identity guidelines to represent USC’s unified image to the world. All USC Rossier units must abide by university guidelines.

Logos: To request a logo for a new USC Rossier sub unit, contact Amber Sommerville, director of marketing at asommerv@rossier.usc.edu. Existing logos may be downloaded using the links under “identity resources” below.

Print material design: For guidance on the application of USC identity guidelines for print materials, view the USC identity website, or contact Amber Sommerville, director of marketing at asommerv@rossier.usc.edu.

Promotional items: For guidance on printing USC Rossier merchandise and promotional items, contact Kenae Danley, director of special events, kenae.danley@rossier.usc.edu.

Email signatures: Staff should use the university’s approved email signature format. Email signatures should be text only and include no images. Visit the email signature page for details on the format and step-by-step instructions on how to create an outlook signature.

Updates to the USC Rossier website: To request updates to the USC Rossier website, use the website support ticketing site to submit a request. This can also be found on the Rossier MIS Portal.

Website calendar entries: To submit an event for consideration on the USC Rossier event calendar, review the instructions on the event calendar submission page.

New website development: All USC Rossier websites must follow USC identity guidelines. Approved website templates are available and the USC Rossier web team may be able to provide limited resources and support in site development. Before beginning any website design/development projects for entities related to USC Rossier, please contact the USC Rossier web team to schedule a planning consultation. Contact webmaster@rossier.usc.edu for more information.


Social Media

Prior to launching any social media profile or page for a USC Rossier unit, please contact Ross Brenneman, director of media relations at rossbren@rossier.usc.edu.

Photography

All subjects used in USC Rossier print or online publications should provide permission using the university’s photo release form.


Editorial Guidelines

USC follows Associated Press style for print and online communications. Additionally, the University of Southern California has established an editorial style guide. All USC Rossier units are encouraged to abide by university guidelines.
