The School Business Management Certificate is a hybrid program with study being 75% online and 25% at USC campuses. This allows you the flexibility to arrange your learning around your professional and personal schedule.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2017-18 cohort of the program.
The 2017-18 program will begin with a 5-day residential session called Boot Camp held July 26 -30, 2017. Boot Camp is held at the USC University Park Campus located near downtown Los Angeles. In this session, you will meet your fellow students and learn the technology you will use throughout your time online. More importantly, you will get immersed in the how-to of overseeing a K-12 business operation whether it be in a district or charter school setting.
The program concludes with a Leadership Capstone June 28-30, 2018 held at the USC Orange County Center in Irvine. There will also be a two-day in-person session held January 2018 that coincides with the School Services of California (SSC) Governor’s Budget Workshop in Sacramento.
In the months connecting your residential experiences, you will work in an online learning environment facilitated by school business leaders with decades of experience.
