The ACS-Hach Second Career Teacher Scholarship is awarded to professionals in the chemistry field pursuing a masters in education or teacher certification to teach high school chemistry. Scholarship recipients receive from $6000 up to full tuition for full-time study and $3000 for part-time enrollment. Applications are accepted annually from February 1 - April 1. Through the Robert G. Porter Scholars Program offers four 4-year, $8,000 post-secondary scholarships to students who are dependents of AFT members, as well as 10 one-time $1,000 grants to AFT members to assist with their continuing education. All-Ink.com is offering up to $5,000 in scholarships to qualified students who are enrolled or planning to participate in an accredited college or university program during the Spring 2012 or Fall 2013 term or full-year 2012-2013 school year. Students who apply must be a United States citizen or permanent resident with a minimum 2.5 Grade Point Average. In addition, students applying are required to complete a 50 to 200 word essay about who has had the greatest impact on your life, and a 50 to 200 word essay on what you hope to achieve in your personal and professional life after completing college. Helps future school counselors fulfill their educational goals by offering the ASCA Foundation Scholarship, sponsored by Anheuser Busch and the ASCA Foundation. The $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to up to 10 students each year who are currently enrolled in a master's level school counseling program. Ford Foundation Fellowships for Minorities
Through its Fellowship Program, the Ford Foundation seeks to increase the diversity of the nation's college and university faculties. Administered by the National Research Council (NRC) since 1979, these programs provide fellowship support at the predoctoral, dissertation and postdoctoral levels. Eligibility is limited to U.S. citizens who can demonstrate superior academic achievement, are committed to a career in teaching and research at the college or university level, show promise of future achievement as scholars and teachers, and are well prepared to use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students. La Unidad Latina Foundation awards educational scholarships to Hispanic students on a competitive basis and range from $250 to $1000. P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Fund
PEO International Peace Scholarship Fund is a philanthropic educational organization that offers a number of scholarship opportunities for women. One of the awards is the P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship (IPS) Fund established in 1949 to provide scholarships for international women students to pursue graduate study in the United States and Canada.Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program
The College Cost Reduction and Access Act of 2007 established a new public service loan forgiveness program. This program discharges any remaining debt after 10 years of full-time employment in public service. The borrower must have made 120 payments as part of the Direct Loan program in order to obtain this benefit. Only payments made on or after October 1, 2007 count toward the required 120 monthly payments. (Borrowers may consolidate into Direct Lending in order to qualify for this loan forgiveness program starting July 1, 2008.) The Dissertation Fellowship Program seeks to encourages a new generation of scholars from a wide range of disciplines and professional fields to undertake research relevant to the improvement of education. These $25,000 fellowships support individuals whose dissertations show potential for bringing fresh and constructive perspectives to the history, theory, or practice of formal or informal education anywhere in the world. This highly competitive program aims to identify the most talented researchers conducting dissertation research related to education. Like all Spencer Foundation programs, the Dissertation Fellowship program receives many more applications than it can fund. This year, up to 600 applications are anticipated and about 20 fellowships will be awarded.- Application
