Cynthia Diana Villarreal

Cynthia D. Villarreal is a doctoral student in Urban Education Policy at the University of Southern California’s (USC) Rossier School of Education and a research assistant at the Center for Urban Education (CUE). Her research interests include equity in education, college access and retention for underrepresented students, and institutional agents in community colleges that help facilitate change. Prior to her doctoral studies, Cynthia was a 6th grade English Language Arts teacher in San Antonio Independent School District and received a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
