Dr. Courtney Malloy is Adjunct Professor of Education at the Rossier School of Education. She teaches courses focused on research and evaluation methods, data analysis, learning and motivation, and improving organizational performance. She is also the founder and principal consultant at Malloy Research Consulting (MRC) where she conducts applied research, survey, and evaluation projects for clients in the public, nonprofit, and corporate sectors. Prior to founding MRC, Dr. Malloy was the Director of Research at Vital Research where she was responsible for leading large-scale applied research and evaluation projects and directing research policies and procedures. Dr. Malloy has worked with a diverse range of clients including school districts, community-based organizations, arts and cultural institutions, foundations, colleges and universities, government agencies, and businesses. She has conducted numerous projects ranging from short-term institutional research projects focused on program improvement to multi-year, multi-site longitudinal studies designed to assess the impact of interventions on individuals and organizations. Dr. Malloy has been invited by numerous organizations to provide training on practitioner-led inquiry, survey design and administration, evaluation, theories of change, and data presentation. She has presented and published numerous reports and articles on educational reforms and interventions, arts and culture, class size reduction, evaluative thinking and data use, school governance, effective instructional practices, charter schools, and educational partnerships.
