Adjunct Assistant Professor
Tim Mulvehill is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Master of Arts in Teaching program at the USC Rossier School of Education where he teaches Guided Practice for candidates in the Social Studies program. His professional interests include methods of differentiating instruction for advanced learners within the context of history/social science as well as teaching students to think historically.
In addition to teaching in the USC Rossier School of Education, Professor Mulvehill teaches AP World History at Millikan High School in Long Beach, CA where he chairs the History department. He is a National Board certified History/Social Studies teacher, an AP World History exam reader and a presenter on History Education and Gifted and Talented Education. He has been a curriculum writer for grants such as the World History For US All and Teach India! projects. He is a test item writer for the AP World History and SAT II Subject Matter Exams, and is a curriculum writer for Long Beach Unified School District’s History Office. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Long Beach State University, a Master’s Degree in Education and credentials in Social Science and Administration from Concordia University in Irvine.
