First Student/Alumni Networking Event

Dean Gallagher hosted the Spring Networking Event, a student/alumni mixer, on April 23 at the USC University Club. Sponsored through a generous donation from Rossier alumnus Brent Noyes (B.S. '75, M.S.T.E. '79), the event allowed alumni to reconnect with fellow classmates and mentor current students. More than 60 alumni and students participated in the event, which included dinner and a presentation by USC Rossier faculty member, Dr. Rudolph Crew. (pictured right alumna Carol Fox)

Name tags were color-coded to facilitate networking, and identified participants who work in various industries, including those in the private sector (consultants and educational entrepreneurs), counselors and therapists, higher education administrators, higher education faculty, K-12 administration, K-12 teachers, and students. Participants were encouraged to bring business cards to share, and each person left with a contact list of attendees to encourage further networking opportunities. USC Rossier plans to host two more networking events in the upcoming academic year.
